01Who we are

IT Genics ("IT Genics", "we", "us") is a product-based software company. Our head office is at 190-B Commercial, Jasmine Block, Sector C, Bahria Town, Lahore, Pakistan, and we have teams in London, the United States and Dubai. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website.

02Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number (optional), company (optional), the solutions you are interested in, your budget range (optional) and your message.

Job applications. When you apply on our Careers page, we collect your name, email, phone, city and country, the position, your years of experience, your LinkedIn or portfolio link (optional), a short note (optional) and your CV.

Information collected automatically. When you send a form, we record your IP address, the page you sent it from and the date and time. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

We do not ask for payment details on this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

03How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal and provide the services you ask for.
  • To review your job application, contact you about it and run our hiring process.
  • To send you a confirmation email and a reference number for your request or application.
  • To keep our website and forms secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix technical problems.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

05Who we share it with

We share personal information only with trusted providers who help us run this website and our business, and only as much as they need:

  • Website hosting and email (Hostinger and Titan Email), which store our website, database and emails.
  • Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that forms are sent by people and not bots. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Google Fonts, which deliver the fonts on this website. Your browser connects to Google servers to load them.
  • Our own team in our offices, when they need the information to answer you or to review an application.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case the new owner must protect it in the same way.

06International transfers

We work across Pakistan, the UK, the USA and the UAE, so your information may be stored or accessed in countries other than your own. When we transfer information, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected, for example by using providers with appropriate safeguards and contracts.

07How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: for as long as we are in contact with you, and up to 3 years after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Job applications and CVs: up to 12 months after the role is filled, so we can consider you for similar roles. You can ask us to delete your application at any time.
  • Clients: project and billing records for as long as the law requires.
  • Security logs: for a short period, usually no more than 90 days.

08Cookies and similar technologies

Our public website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use only what is needed for the site to work:

  • Session storage in your browser, which briefly remembers your first name and reference number to show them on the thank-you page. It is deleted when you close the tab.
  • Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies to tell people and bots apart when you use a form.
  • An admin login cookie, used only by IT Genics staff who sign in to our dashboard.

If we add analytics or marketing tools in future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some forms may then stop working.

09How we protect it

We use HTTPS on every page, keep our database and stored CVs in areas that cannot be reached from the web, limit access to people who need it, and protect our dashboard with hashed passwords and login limits. No method is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information and will tell you and the authorities about a serious breach where the law requires.

10Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information.
  • Object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it.
  • Ask us to send your information to you or another company.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, email info@itgenics.net. We will reply within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU, you can also complain to your local data protection authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

California residents: you have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
